Copy video URL

This method can be achieved in the browser without any special software being downloaded or jumping through any hoops. This also means Windows, Mac, or even a Chromebook is going to work.   The first move is to go to the YouTube video from which you want to rip the audio. Specify the URL from the address bar of your browser and copy it to your clipboard.

Go to SaveMP3

Open a new tab to go to the homepage of SaveMP3. There are a number of online tools available to rip audio from YouTube videos, but our current favorite is SaveMP3. It has a plain, easy-to-use interface and is quick to convert videos to MP3.

Simply paste your YouTube URL into the blue and white search box once you have loaded the page. Note: A pop-up can sometimes be caused by pasting the URL, but browsers like Firefox should be able to block it well.  Once you put your URL in the box, the site should automatically recognize your video and fill in the video name, the duration of your video, and most importantly, two download options: download MP3 or download Other Formats. If you click the Download Other Formats, you will be taken with the Download buttons next to them to a list of other different formatted versions of your video.

Download your audio

Once you click your chosen format download button, the conversion of should take only a few minutes to complete. A dialog box should pop up asking you if you want to open or save your file after the conversion has been completed. If you choose to save your new file, it will most likely automatically save it to the Downloads folder of your computer, unless you choose a different fold.
